File Requirements , Pickup Policy & Processing Times
Laura’s Print Shop offers pickup for most orders. Please read the details below so you know when your order will be ready.
Order processing time
Processing time depends on the product, quantity, and whether your file is print-ready.
Typical processing times (estimate):
· Document printing (simple): Same day or next business day
· Photo prints: Same day or next business day
· Posters: Same day to 8 business days ( depending on the order )
· Business cards / postcards: 3–10 business days (depending on finish and quantity)
· Lamination: Same day or next business day
Rush / same-day: If you need same-day service, please contact us before placing the order.
“Ready for pickup” notification
You’ll receive a notification (email/SMS) when your order is ready for pickup. Please wait for the “ready” message before coming in.

Checking your order at pickup
We recommend checking your order at pickup.
Unclaimed orders
Due to limited storage, completed orders may be held for 7 business days unless you contact us to arrange a longer hold.
File issues or missing instructions
If your file is not print-ready ( wrong size, low quality , missing pages , unclear instructions , etc.) , we may contact you. This can delay processing until we receive confirmation.
File Requirements and Print Quality Policy
To get the best results, please follow these file guidelines when ordering.
Preferred file types
Best (recommended):
· PDF (best for documents/posters)
· JPG / PNG (best for photos)
Accepted (may require extra setup):
· DOC / DOCX (formatting can change)
· Other formats may be refused or require an additional setup fee.
Resolution (image quality)
· For the best results, use minimum 300 DPI at the final print size.
· Low-resolution images may print blurry or pixelated, especially on posters.
Sizing and margins
· Choose the correct paper size at checkout.
· Make sure your file matches the selected size (example: 11x17 file for 11x17 print).
· Keep important text/logos away from the edges (safe margin recommended).
Bleed and trimming (posters/cards)
If your design prints to the edge or will be trimmed:
· Include bleed (extra background past the cut line), if possible.
· If no bleed is provided, small white edges may appear after trimming.
Color differences
Colors can look different between screens and printed output. Differences caused by monitor/phone settings are normal and are not considered defects.
Multi-page documents
For multi-page printing, submit a single PDF in the correct order. If you upload multiple files, we will print them in the order received unless you leave clear instructions.
Customer responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
· spelling and content
· correct file size and layout
· selecting the correct options (color/B&W, single/double-sided, paper type, lamination)
We are not responsible for print issues caused by the uploaded file or options selected at checkout.
